A QUICK TOUR AROUND ONE BECKSIDE STAITHES

A warm welcome to One Beckside Staithes.  This beautifully renovated and well equipped former fisherman’s cottage, with two ensuite bedrooms, lies in the heart of the historical coastal village of Staithes, tucked away on the Yorkshire Coast on the edge of the North York Moors, making it the perfect coast and country retreat.

 

Although relatively small, this delightful boutique property stretches over three floors and has been developed to an exceptional standard with everything you could wish for in a holiday cottage, from Smart TVS to Wi-Fi throughout.  The bedrooms, each with their own en-suite facilities, are on the top and bottom floors, whilst an open plan living area and well-equipped kitchen lie in the middle. 

 

At the front of the cottage, you will find a small terrace which provides a great place to enjoy al fresco dining with seating for four, a few drinks in the evening sun or a tranquil setting for perusing the Sunday papers.  There's also space under the large refectory table to store your boots, bucket and spades and fishing nets.  The terrace is fully enclosed for added privacy and to provide extra security for young ones and pets.

 

Whilst there is very little parking in the old village, you can load and unload outside the cottage, before using our free parking permit for Bank Top Council Car Park

 

The old village of Staithes is blessed with two lovely pubs, three cafes, a bistro and a number of shops, incuding a deli and wine shop and there is a Co-op and fish and chip shop at the top.

The ground floor accommodation is a real hidden gem. Self contained from the rest of the cottage, with it's own internal and external access, a tiny hallway, with modern shower room and toilet to the left, leads to a cosy bedroom which can switch between twin or kingsize beds.

 

As with the master bedroom, the bed linen and bedroom furniture are akin to what you what you would expect from a luxury hotel including TV and USB sockets. The understairs cupboard houses the freezer, automatic washing machine and ironing board.
